Dine In Historic Elegance

The Elkridge Furnace is nestled on the Patapsco River and was first established as a tavern in 1744. The complex comprises approximately 16 acres in the eastern corner of Howard County and is graced by beautiful linden, holly, and magnolia trees. All structures and the site itself are included in the National Register of Historic Places. Today the Elkridge Furnace Inn houses an elegant restaurant as well as a gourmet catering company specializing in weddings and other elegant celebrations.

The Elkridge Furnace Inn is the perfect location for an elegant outdoor wedding ceremony overlooking the Patapsco. The house will accommodate 50 guests seated in one room or 125 throughout the rooms of the house. During the months of April through December, a covered heated patio that will accommodate 200 for a seated dinner is available.

The Elkridge Furnace Inn is a full-service location, and their services include linens, china, glassware, dance floor, tables, chairs, custom gourmet catering, and a wedding coordinator on the special day. Their chef is classically trained in the French tradition and can prepare almost anything you desire.

The same elegance and gourmet food is also available for lunch and dinner six days a week. The Inn features an ever-changing menu of eclectic French Cuisine using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Samples of some entrees you may find on the menu include:

Gnocchi A La Fagiole -- Gnocchi with tomato, garlic, shallots, parsley and beans; served with spinach risotto

Truite De Rouseau -- Pan seared rainbow trout topped with a Cajun cream sauce and a garniture of langoustines and sausage; served with a sweet corn muffin

Crepinettes De Veau Avec Truffes-- Veal tenderloin crepinettes stuffed with langoustines; wrapped with portabella mushrooms and caul fat; served with a truffle "jus"
Le Caille Marsala-- Wild mushroom and sage stuffed quail wrapped in proscuitto; served with a Marsala wine sauce

Supreme De Canard Aux Citron et Miel-- Sauteed boneless duck breast served with a honey & lime sauce
Carre D'Agneau "Marbella" -- New Zealand rack of lamb with a marbella sauce
Filet de Boeuf Bordelaise et L'Ail -- Filet mignon cooked to order and served with a garlic flan; topped with a bordelaise sauce
